While trying to skirt the issues of obtaining insurance in 2009 and wanting to find a way to eat healthy and take care of herself naturally, Rachel began researching better ways to eat. Having been a vegetarian for thirteen years, she had gotten overweight and out of shape, fighting strep throat at every turn. After extensive research, she decided that the Paleo Lifestyle was the way to go.
Along with her passion for Paleo, she has done some Crossfit, Primal Movement and Play, and, most recently, Aerial Fitness. Rachel is friendly with all of her local organic and biodynamic farmers and ranchers, buying their meats, eggs and vegetables frequently, as well as helping out occasionally on their farms.
As the owner of Altern-e-fit (www.alternefit.com) she tries to get the truth out to the public about health and wellness. She has become quite the cook, coming up with wonderful Paleo meals for her friends and family.
Rachel’s education includes a degree in Graphic Design and Multimedia as well as a BA in Psychology with an MA in Teaching and Education. She is also pursuing her studies in Health and Wellness.
Married to Videobob Moseley, a TV producer/actor/host, she is no stranger to working and being around celebrities of all kinds, from rock stars and comedians to talent agents and special effects supervisors. She advocates and educates for health within these groups on a daily basis.
Rachel volunteered from the get-go at the first PaleoFx in 2012 and has continued to contribute to the organization. Her dedication to the Paleo movement is unbridled, and her passion is seen in her dedication to Paleo and Paleo f(x).
