Soul, Sustainability, and Science: Announcing the Winner of the Paleo f(x)™ Scholarship

Nothing is more empowering to a visionary soul on the cusp of a breakthrough than to meet those who have made significant contribution to the progress of a movement. That’s why we launched the Paleo f(x)™ Scholarship this year. The scholarship is a fund that offers deserving individuals, who might not otherwise have the means, the opportunity to attend a Paleo f(x)™ event, as an opportunity to learn from, be inspired by, and get to know those people in the Paleo movement who make a difference. It’s an opportunity for one lucky winner to immerse themselves in the Paleo world. After all, you can spend years reading and stumbling your way to better health, but there is simply no comparison to what you will learn in the live environment of Paleo f(x)™.

That all said, we’re happy to announce the winner of the scholarship, Krys Givens! 

Krys is taking her first steps into Paleo-entrepreneurship with “nourished.”, seeking to help others transition from a SAD lifestyle to real-food eating through services such as pantry make­overs, grocery store tours, cooking classes, and more. Krys hopes to turn her autoimmune disease into a tool to help others. In her own words,I want to be in a position where I can help others make the best choices about their health, for themselves and their families, as well as for Earth.”

Here’s what Krys had to say about Soul, Sustainability, and Science, the core themes of Paleo f(x)™ 2017:

Paleo, in and of itself, encompasses the theme of “Soul and Sustainability Backed by Science”, as the only way to be truly sustainable is by being in touch with the soul. A plethora of deep­ rooted science that perpetually continues to back the basis that Paleo is sustainable, which proves again and again that real food living is much more than a common fad. It is the basis from which many before us lived, free from many of the maladies that plague humankind today.

For those who have been required to delve into a deeper personal journey due to the basic desire and need to regain our health, we make, perhaps, even a deeper commitment of sustainability through our food choices. Or, more appropriately, the choice to restrict foods that, while tolerable to many, are damaging (unsustainable) to us at the present.

Many of us must continue even further, searching for specific personal triggers outside of the scope of an already restrictive, yet deeply nourishing and healing, lifestyle (AIP); all in an attempt to regain soul, which then enables us to do more than merely ‘exist’, and rather fulfill the purpose in which we are here for.

We’ll follow up with Krys after Paleo f(x)™ 2017 to show you how one incredible weekend can truly jumpstart your health. We look forward to seeing her, and hopefully seeing you, at Paleo f(x)™ this year!
